Reviews and Ratings
I had an outstanding stay at the lodge! The atmosphere is truly magical, surrounded by nature and wildlife; it felt like a hidden gem. The food was delicious and the staff were incredibly welcoming, but it would be great if the soda fountain had a bit more space to showcase its charm. Overall, it's a fantastic place for wildlife lovers and those seeking tranquility, and it offers excellent value for the experience.
Our stay at the lodge was quite the experience! The ambiance of the place is beautiful and steeped in history, making it a great spot for relaxation. We loved the Jungle Boat Cruise, which was both fun and informative, and the food was consistently fabulous. However, the heat in our room was unbearable, which definitely dampened our experience. Overall, while the location and dining were top-notch, the temperature control in the rooms needs to be addressed.
The Lodge at Wakulla is a charming spot that takes you back to Old Florida with its unique atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. The rooms are surprisingly comfortable and maintain a historic feel, while the staff embodies Southern hospitality, enhancing the overall experience. However, be prepared for a crowded swimming area on warm days, and the dining options are somewhat limited. Still, the value for the experience is worth it, especially given the abundance of wildlife and activities available nearby.
This lodge immerses you in history and old Florida charm, nestled right at the stunning Wakulla Springs. The rooms exude character, and dining experiences are memorable, particularly the magic of dining by the giant fireplace. However, service can be a bit slow, especially during busy breakfast hours, and some amenities, like hot water, were inconsistent during my stay.
Wakulla Springs State Park offers a unique and nostalgic experience with its classic lodge and stunning natural surroundings. The rooms are comfortable, and the dining experience is outstanding, especially with the expert chef on hand. However, some might find the absence of modern entertainment options a bit lacking. Overall, it’s a delightful getaway that combines great food, exceptional service, and beautiful scenery at a reasonable price.
